PRISON SHIP VICTIM
Mr. and Mrs. Omar Wiginton of Montpelier, Idaho, formerly of Lodge Pole Nebraska, received word that their son Pfc. John T Wigington, a prisoner of the Japanese since the fall of Corregidor, was killed October 24, 1944 when an American submarine sank a Jap ship transporting 1775 captives from the Philippines to Japan.
He had been a prisoner at Camp O'Donnell after surviving the "Death March".
