The people of Bear Lake Valley were greatly shocked to learn early this week that Dr. Aulguire had been almost blown to pieces at his home in Pocatello early Sunday morning. It appears that he was lying in bed at 2 am, when suddenly a terrible explosion occurred in the adjoining room. The foce of the explosion blew out the partition, blew the doctor out of bed and drove out the front of the building.
The doctor sustained fatal injuries, his entire body being terribly bruised and burned from head to foot. He lingered along in agony and unconsciousness until Tuesday, when he passed away. He wife and son Thomas R, were hastily summoned from St Charles and were at his bedside when he died.
