Mrs. Johannah K Winters, who was born 22 Aug 1849 in
Westerhassing, Denmark, died in Ogden Monday of infirmities due to old age.
Mrs. Winters with members of her family converts to the LDS church, came to America in 1868. In 1868 she married Franz M Winters of Bear Lake County. Mrs. Winters, whose funeral is being held this afternoon in the First ward chapel is survived by the following children: Francis M Winters of Montpelier; Mrs. Mary Guernsey of Ogden; N E Winters and John C Winters both of Otto Wyoming; Mrs. Elizabeth Tueller and Mrs. Lydia Burrows both of Ogden; and A J Winters of Montpelier. Three children died in early childhood.
In addition to her seven children, Mrs. Winters is survived by 28 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The remains were brought from Ogden by the Williams Mortuary.

The following funeral services for Mrs. Johannah K Winters were
held Thursday, September 31 (sic) in the First Ward Chapel; song, quartet
composed of Paul Swensen, Winslow Swensen, Mrs. Kem Loveday and Mrs. C R
Williamson; opening prayer Joseph Robinson; solo "Perfect Day" Mrs. Winona
Vogel; remarks Bishop W Clark of Georgetown; solo "My Task" Mrs. Lottie
Grosjean; remarks President Silas Wright; son quartet; bendiction Lorenzo
Swensen; President Ed C Rich dedicated the grave and interment was in the
Montpelier cemetery.
Legionnaires J Vern Dunn, T N Sneddon, H G Nuckols, Frank Leeright, Donald Dimick and Joseph Einzinger acted as pall bearers.
