James H Hart
Information comes from Treasured Tidbits of Time by Pat Wilde published 1977, page 168
In 1871 James H Hart was assigned by the Stake Presidency to coordinate all church schools in the valley. Thus it might be said that Hart became the first Superintendent of Schools.
On January 5, 1875, Bear Lake became a county in the state of Idaho and from that point schools developed differently.
In 1896 a special ground dedication program was
held for the Fielding Academy. James H Hart became the construction
superintendent and it took nearly six years to complete the building.
Dedication took place in the fall of 1902.
