The Montpelier Examiner, June 9, 1911

Jim and Jess Dunn, two of Georgetown's "mighty hunters" are the proud possessors of a fine black bear skin, which they brought home with them last Saturday, a prize for their two day hunting trip on Slug Creek.

In the write up of the republican candidates last week, we unintentionally omitted mention of James Dunn, candidate for assessor and tax collector.  Mr. Dunn is a native of Bear Lake county, having first seen the light of day at Bloomington 43 years ago.  he spent his boyhood days on the farm and after completing a high school education, together with a course in bookkeeping, he returned to farming which pursuit he has followed ever since, with the exception of two years as a ranger in the Forest Service, which eh passed a creditable examination.

Mr. Dunn is recognized as one of the substantial farmers of Georgetown Precinct A section of the county which has not had representation in the administration of county affairs for a number of years.
