RITES HELD IN LAKETOWN CHAPEL
Funeral services for Jessie McPherson Mattson were held in the Laketown LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Norman E Weston conducting. The opening song "Jesus Lover of My Soul" was by the choir; invocation Farrell Johnson; autobiography Shanna Wood; speaker Harold Johnson; song "Perfect Day" trio comprised of Fay Floyd, Merle Spence and LuRene Webb; speaker Stanley Mattson; vocal duet "Beyond the Sunset" Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Transtrum; speaker L B Johnson; organ solo "Oh My Father" Julia Kearl; remarks Bishop Weston; song "Nearer My God To Thee" choir; benediction Wendell Johnson. The prayer at home was by Eldon Mattson.
Interment was in the family plot, St Charles cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Leland Wood. The choir sang "Rest Rest For the Wear Soul". Robert Wood, Thad Mattson, Douglas Rose, Evan Cregor, Raymond Esterholdt and Keith Johnson were pallbearers. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
