Mr. L S Merrill and Miss Jennie Barrett of this city completely surprised their friends last Monday morning by driving to the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J C Merrill in Bennington, where they were quietly married at 7 o'clock, Bishop Silas Wright adjusting the nuptial know.
The happy couple returned to Montpelier and took the Ping Pong to Salt Lake where they will sojourn for a week.
