MONTPELIER WOMAN DIES IN UTAH
 

Janet P Stephens Dunn, 78, wife of Jesse Dunn, died Monday at Salt Lake City. She was born at Bennington May 24, 1879 the daughter of George and Isabelle Hunter Perkins. She was married to William C Stephens August 31, 1898 in the LDS Temple Logan.  He died June 11, 1937.  She married Mr. Dunn in August 1850 at Logan.  Mrs. Dunn spent her early years at Bennington and moved to Montpelier about 50 years ago.

A member of the LDS Church she was active in Primary serving as president for 16 years and was a Relief Society teacher for 50 years.  Surviving are her husband and four children from her first marriage; Mrs. Paul (Artel) Beecher and Mrs. George (Isabelle) Smith, both of Salt Lake City; Lorraine Stephens of Kearns Utah; and Myrl Stephens of Montpelier.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; two brothers William Perkins of Montpelier; and five sisters, Mrs. John Stephens and Mrs. Ella Parker, both of Montpelier, Mrs. Loren Ipsen and Mrs. James A Crane, both of Bennington and Mrs. Lyde Coon of Salt Lake City.

Services will be held at 2 pm in the Montpelier Second ward chapel.
