INTERMENT MADE IN LANARK CEMETERY
 

James Richard Fitzgerald, 33 of Lodi, California, husband of Rhea Bunn Fitzgerald, died of cancer in Los Angeles, May 30. He was born February 13, 1923 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of James S and Mary E Casey Fitzgerald of Viola Missouri.  He attended schools in Missouri and at the time of his death was a builder and contractor in Lodi.

He and Rhea Bunn were married May 23, 1943.  He was preceded in death by two infant sons.  Surviving besides his widow and parents are a daughter, Vicky; two sisters Mrs. Shirley Basserman and Mrs. Dorothy Dixon and two brothers, Harry and Douglas Fitzgerald all of Lodi.  Mr. Fitzgerald was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church on May 24, 1956.

Services were held at 10 am Tuesday in the Paris Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Clifford Price conducting.  The prayer at home was by Loyd Sleight and the prelude and postlude were played by Merlyn Taylor.  The opening song "Jesus Lover of My Soul" was a quartet comprised of Mrs. Charles Wyler, Mrs. Willard Hansen, Floyd Lewis and Wayne Budge accompanied by Mrs. Eugene Stucki; invocation Bishop Warren Passey; song "Sometime We'll Understand" quartet; obituary Bishop Price; speaker Amos B Hulme; violin solo Nora B Stephens; speaker Bishop O H Grimmett; vocal duet "Beyond the Sunset" Mrs. Grant Rich and John Spencer; benediction E D Hymas.

Interment was in the Lanark cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Otis Bateman.  The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
