An unusual accident Monday morning at 10:15 claimed the life of James H Bolen, well known Union Pacific employee, when he stepped and fell eighteen or twenty feet from the top of the water tank in Kemmerer. Mr. Bolen, who was firing on the train that stopped to take water, suffered a skull fracture, and never regained consciousness. He died in Kemmerer Monday evening about 9:45.
Mr. Bolen is survived by his wife, one daughter and one son of Montpelier; his mother and one sister of Vancouver, Washington and a sister and brother who reside in California. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Montpelier Fourth ward chapel with interment in Paris cemetery.

Funeral services for James H Bolen were held in the LDS Fourth ward last Thursday, under Bishop Mumford. The opening hymn, "I Need Thee Every Hour" was by the choir; invocation, Alfred Blaser; vocal duet "Cast Thy Bread Upon the Waters" Mrs. Lamont Passey and Mrs. Tiena Armatage; remarks, Clyde Thompson of Grace; vocal solo "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose" F M Williams; remarks, Hyrum Wallentine of Salt Lake City; vocal duet "Whispering Hope" Mrs. B E Munford and Miss Lydia Schick; remarks Bishop Mumford; vocal solo and chorus "I Know My Redeemer Lives" Lawrence Lee singing solo; benediction Al G Berrey.
The dedication of the grave was by F M Williams.
