FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN LOGAN
Ivan Henry Peterson, 59, Logan resident since 1942, died at his home in January 1 from a heart attack. He was born August 28, 1898 to Neils D and Camilla Christena Poulsen Peterson at Nounan. He married Christine Sarah Poulsen on February 28, 1922 in the Logan Temple and she died February 7, 1949.
Survivors include a son, Ray W Peterson of Clearfield Utah. three grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters, Ernest Peterson of Sacramento, California; Everett Peterson of Montpelier; Mrs. Ezra (Violet) Johnson of Ovid, Mrs. Herman (Gladys) Egley of Montpelier, Mrs. Douglas (Leila) Hymas of Ogden, Mrs. Askel (Wilda) Salveson of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Funeral services were conducted at the Hall Mortuary in Logan Saturday at 1 pm by Bishop Zachary T Champlin. They opened with an organ prelude; song "Sometime We'll Understand" Carl Ashby and Lenore Hall, accompanied by Rebecca Daines; invocation Elwood Ramuson; speaker, Wesley Reese; vocal solo "Lead Kindly Light" Alma Dittmer; speaker Roland A Reese; vocal duet "Whispering Hope" Miriam and DeAnn Kimball, accompanied by Rebecca Daines; speaker J Stanley Harrison of Grace; closing song "Oh My Father" Carl Ashby; benediction Samuel Hymas.
Prayer at the mortuary was given by Everett
Peterson; organ postlude Lenore Hall; dedication of grave, Wayne Johnson.
Pall bearers were Herman Egley, Harry Hansen, Francis Poulsen, Farrell Poulsen,
Weldon Johnson and Lawrence Shepherd. Many friends and relatives from Bear Lake
valley attended the service.
