MANY PRIZES FOR ROD AND GUN CLUB

Committee in charge of the annual Rainbow Rod and Gun Club announced that plans are complete and the prize list almost complete although valuable prizes are arriving daily by mail and hourly by donation at Thiel and Olsen Brothers Store.

The date has been set for Friday, April 3 at the high school gymnasium with lively music by Ralph King and his Paradise Gardens orchestra.

Work started this week on Montpelier's winter sports center, consisting of a skating rink and ski run and jumps, to be located on the grounds of Rainbow Rod and Gun club, and on adjoining property granted for use by the owner, Hugh Bagley, in the mouth of Montpelier Canyon.

Work on the winter sports area on and near the property of the Rainbow Rod and Gun Club under the NYA program is progressing.  Extensive improvements have been made during the past week on the ski and toboggan courses and ice on the skating rink has begun to form under the sprinkling process which will add about two inches each day.
