PVT. H HUNZEKER KILLED IN ACTION
Private Howard Hunzeker, 27, of the Infantry, was killed in action November 28 in France, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hunzeker were informed Sunday by the Adjutant General.
Private Hunzeker entered the service March 21, 1944 and arrived overseas early in November. He was born in Montpelier October 7, 1917 and was associated with his father and brothers in farming and livestock raising. An active LDS church worker, he was first assistant superintendent of the First ward Sunday School and an officer in the YMMIA. He graduated from Montpelier high school in 1935.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are three sisters, Mrs. John A Wells, Mrs. Raymond Kibby and Grace Hunzeker, and two brothers, Walter A Hunzeker and Fred W Hunzeker, all of Montpelier.
