W R Holmes was over from Paris Tuesday soliciting financial aid from Montpelier business men to help pay the balance due on the right of way for the Montpelier Paris branch of the Short Line. There is something like $1400 still due property owners along the line and the Paris citizens who had this matter in charge are having a hard time raising money with which to meet the obligation.
