Henry E Howell, 74, of Fish Haven, died at his home Sunday after an illness of more than a year. Mr. Howell was born October 1, 1863, in Salt Lake City. He was one of the early pioneers to this valley in 1864. They lived in Paris during the winter and worked the farm at Fish Haven during the summer months until they were brave enough to winter in Fish Haven and until 1867 when they remained permanently.
He married Susan Ada Gardner October 10, 1887 in the Logan Temple. She died December 29, 1935. Nine children came to bless this union, the following survive; H Edwin Howell of Smoot, Wyoming, W Alfred Howell, Ernest S Howell and Cora F Nelson of Fish Haven; Ida S Passey of Lanark; Millie S Henkel of Salt Lake City; and Edith Allen of Grace. Two children have proceeded him in death. Three sisters, Harriet Crook and Emily Limberg of Smoot, Wyoming and Sarah E Findlay of Fish Haven and twenty grandchildren also survive.
