FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Harold R Toomer, well known former Montpelier business man, civic and political leader, died Monday in a Long Beach, California hospital. Mr. Toomer suffered a recent heart attack. He had resided at Long Beach since 1945. Funeral services will be announced later. The remains will arrive Friday at the Matthews Mortuary.
Clifford H Toomer left Friday for Long Beach
and was able to see his brother before he died. Mrs. Scott Pendry, a
sister and Mr. Pendry were en route to Long Beach Monday when Mr. Toomer died.
