PIONEER
Early last Saturday morning Mrs. Hannah Peterson, wife of Thomas
Peterson, who died some ten years ago, passed quietly to the great beyond caused
by old age. Mrs. Peterson was 87 years of age and an old pioneer of Ovid. Some
40 years ago she buried her only child in the ocean when coming to America. For
some years she was one of the officers in the Relief Society of Ovid and was
always laboring for the betterment and happiness of those whom she associated
with.
The funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm. Pres. W W Richards, Samuel Matthews, F M Winters, Bishop H H Huff, Bp. Alma Hayes, Nels Johnson, L P Nelson and Bp. Lindsay were the speakers.
