Impressive funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 pm in the Paris Second Ward chapel for Gottfried Jaussi, who died August 24, after an illness with pneumonia.

Mr. Jaussi was born in Wattenweil, Switzerland, 3 Jan 1883, the son of Christian and Marie Jaussi. He joined the Mormon church there on 6 Oct 1900. At the age of 18 he immigrated to the Unites States with his mother, three brothers and three sisters, who also joined the church there and settled in Paris 1 June 1901. He married Susanna Schulunegger in 1916 in the Salt Lake Temple and from that union four sons were born: Ferdinand G, Alfred Herman, Harold C and August W.

He has been engaged in farming for 25 years until lately he retired. His father and a sister, Emma preceded him in death. In addition to his widow and four sons, he is survived by his mother and the following brothers and sisters; John and Seymour Jaussi of Paris; Ernest Jaussi of Preston, Mrs. William Kulicke of Paris and Mrs. Gottlieb Hubsmith of Rupert.

The body was in charge of the F M Williams Mortuary and the services were conducted under the direction of Bishop Orson Grimmett as follows; "Sweet is The Work" by a quartet composed of Edwin T Shepherd, H L Spencer, Inez Hoge and Veda Shepherd; invocation Hyrum Poulsen; speaker Cyril S Budge; vocal solo "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go" Fred J Price; speaker, Arthur T Pendrey; duet "Beautiful Sunset" Hattie Wallentine and Ruby Passey; speaker Bishop Grimmett; benediction Samuel L Hymas.

Interment took place in the Paris cemetery and teh grave was dedicated by W Smith Hoge. The pall bearers were J W Stucki, Rolland Jaussi, L Hugh Shepherd, Dallas Athay, George Hoge and Clifford Price.
