Glenn Beatty & Mountain States Telephone

The Montpelier Examiner, Mary 24, 1912

Glenn Beatty, local manager of the Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Co. informs us that it it the company's intention to expend several thousand dollars here this summer in improving the system.

The principal work will be that of installing the cable system thru out the greater portion of the city.  M M Stack the company's plan engineer, spent a week here recently drafting the plans for the proposed work.  As soon as the plans are approved by the proper officials the material will be ordered and Mr. Beatty said he though the work would be started by the first of July.

In addition to the local improvements, the company will string another copper circuit to Laketown.  it is also quite probable that the line from Montpelier to Kemmerer will be constructed this summer.  If it is, an exchange will be established at Cokeville, as the company already has the promise of 35 to 40 patrons at that point.
