DEATH


Gloom was cast over the village of Ovid last Friday when Mrs. Frank King, a prominent and highly respected resident of that place, passed away after an illness of three weeks. Mrs. King was another victim of the dreaded flu, from which she suffered in February and it was the results of this disease which brought on her untimely death.

Mrs. Gertrude King was born in Ogden, Utah Feb 1, 1870 and came to Bear Lake county with her parents when a child. She was married to Frank King in 1887. The family resided in Ovid for a time in Liberty moving to Ovid 16 years ago. She was an active worker in the various organizations of the church in her ward always ready and willing to perform her duty.

Mrs. King is survived by a husband and five children, the youngest being eleven years. Funeral services were held in the Ovid ward meeting house Monday last.
