President J U Stucki, of the German organization of the Bear Lake stake announces that there will be a conference of the Germans of the stake at Montpelier on Sunday, July 26th. It is expected that several hundred Germans will assemble from far and near at that time and deliver addresses, sing songs, tell each other of sights and scenes in the dear old Fatherland, and have a general good time.
On the 27th they will have an outing to the lake.

A conference of the Germans of the Bear Lake stake was held at Montpelier last Sunday, President J U Stucki presiding. In the forenoon the speakers were Presidents Arnold H Schulthesis, J R Shepherd, W W Richards and Dr. McDonald of Salt Lake City.
In the afternoon the speakers were President William L Rich, Elders J Stoker of Paris, Gottlieb and Robert Teuscher of Geneva, Presidents Schulthess and Stucki. The instructions were all of an excellent character and it was an occasion of rejoicing among the people from the Fatherland.
On Monday the Germans gathered at Fish Haven, where they enjoyed boating, bathing, picnicing and a program.

The German residents of Paris held a most enjoyable reunion at the First ward hall last Wednesday. The affair was arranged by the German young ladies for the elder residents and pass off in a highly successful manner. The guests assembled during the afternoon and were called to order by Jacob Tueller who made an address of welcome.
During the evening there were piano solos by Effie Stucki and Adeline and Irene Tueller; comic readings by Adolph Hunzeker, Mrs. Clifton; recitations by Mrs. Weilenmann and Otto Rohner; songs by Tueller Brothers. Emil Grandy and John Fuchs engaged in a "rooster fight" and were awarded the first prize. Emil Ludwig and wife were awarded the first prize for the best waltzing and Jacob Tueller and Mrs. Clara Stucki were awarded the second prize. Prizes were also awarded to Mr. Keller, the oldest gentleman present; Mrs. Vaterlaus, the oldest lady and Miss Rose Jaussi for winning one of the games.

A very pleasant conference of the German speaking people of this region was held in the high school building at Montpelier last Sunday. President J J Stucki presided. Addressses were made by Presidents Joseph R Shepherd, W W Richards, J V Stucki, Arnold Schulthess, Elders Howard and Owen, the latter being visitors from Salt Lake and Elder George Schuck.
The German people had a very enjoyable outing to Fish Haven Monday. A meeting was held at which a hymn was sung by all present, a chorus by William Higgins and company, and an address of welcome by Adolph Hunzeker. Mrs. R Wedenmann tendered a recitation.
J V Stucki was awarded a hen as the most popular gentleman and Mrs. Bathena Keller a rooster as the most popular lady. A solo was sung by Fred Tueller and a chorus of Ed Grunig, Fred Sarbach, Jaake and Arnold Hershi and Jacob and Christian Futher? was rendered.
