LIFELONG PARIS RESIDENT DIES
George B Price, 79, lifelong resident of Paris, died at 11:45 am Wednesday in Garden City at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mitchell Sims. Death was due to a lingering disease. Mr. Price had been in Garden City the past six weeks. He was born September 4, 1878 in Paris, the son of Robert and Susannah Juchau Price. He married Mary Elizabeth Myers on May 13, 1903 in the Salt Lake Temple. Four children were born to this union, two of whom preceded him in death.
Mr. Price received his education in Paris, where he attended Fielding Academy. An active member of the LDS Church he was high priest of the Paris Second Ward at the time of his death and also a ward teacher. He was a carpenter and farmer by occupation.
Besides his widow he is survived by a son, Clifford G Price of Paris, a daughter Mrs. Mitchell (Alvera) Sims of Garden City; eight grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Heber Price and Fred Price, both of Paris; Joseph S Price, Mrs. Mercy P Kelsey and Mrs. Louis (Phoebe) Booth all of Salt Lake City.
Services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the
Paris Second ward chapel. The Matthews Mortuary is in charge of
arrangements.
