The life of George McMurray ended last Saturday when injuries he received when attacked by a bull the previous week previous proved fatal. McMurray was 58 years of age at the time of his death, which occurred at 11 am in the morning. Broken ribs and internal injuries were inflicted by the bull which has since been disposed of.
Mr. McMurray was born January 1, 1880 in Liberty and has always resided there. Funeral services were held at 1 pm at the Liberty chapel, where the following program was carried out; opening prayer, Bishop Ernest Hymas of Lanark; duet by Mrs. Dave Poulsen and Mrs. Lamaun Clark; Bishop William R Morgan, speaker; solo "Face to Face" Alfred Shepherd; speakers President Alfred Hart and President G H Robinson; closing hymn, quartet by Mrs. Dave Poulsen, Mrs. Lamaun Clark, Lyman Hymas and Lamaun Clark; closing prayer was made by Bishop Oliver Peterson of Ovid. Interment was made in the Liberty cemetery where Bishop T L Austin of Liberty dedicated the grave.
Besides his wife, Mr. McMurray is survived by five children; Mrs. Ina King of Maine; Mrs. Bertha Hansen of Salt Lake City; and Warren, Howard and Donna McMurray of Liberty. He is also survived by two brothers, James of Canada and Jesse of Liberty; and two sisters, Mrs. S E Hyman of Paris and Mrs. Bertha Fairchild of Hayburn.
