WELL KNOWN MAN


George F Crane, a well known Bennington and Montpelier resident died Sunday at the Montpelier hospital following an attack of quinsy. Mr. Crane was born March 30, 1898 in Montpelier. He married Gladys Peterson, formerly of Ovid, and besides his wife leaves six children; Bebe, aged 13 years, Ralph, 11; Lillian, 8; Lyman, 6; Anita 4; Melba, 10 months; his mother, Mrs. James G Crane of Herriman, Utah and the following sisters and brothers:

Mrs. Lee J Anderson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Roy Boulter, Draper Utah; Mrs. Hyrum Olsen, Ovid; Mrs. Melvin Huggins, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Thomas R Butterfield, South Jordan Utah; James, A A, Mahonri B and William B Crane of Bennington, Cyrus Crane of Nephi Utah, and Nathaniel Crane of Herriman Utah.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Montpelier Second Ward Chapel. Opening song by choir; invocation President Henry H Hoff; remarks by the following: Alfred Blaser, Clarence L Wright, Bishop Oliver T Peterson, Bishop Milton Bodell, Bishop Bryon E Mumford; vocal solo by Melvin Weaver, benediction Bishop Jared Parker. The grave was dedicated by Joseph Butterfield.
