FORMER ST CHARLES WOMAN DIES
Mrs. Genevieve Blade George, 49, native of Idaho and resident of San Luis Obispo, California, died June 3 following a prolonged illness. Mrs. George was born in St Charles on July 10, 1906, the daughter of John A and Josephine Blade and had lived in Los Angeles, Arizona and St Charles before moving to San Luis Obispo seven years ago.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Wedel of Montpelier, Mrs. Hilda Burt of Los Angeles, Mrs. Libbie Bowden of Midvale, Utah, Louise Blade of San Luis Obispo and Hayward; one brother Lamoni Blade of San Luis Obispo and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in San Luis Obispo on June 4.
Graveside services were conducted in St Charles at 11 am on June 7 with interment in the St Charles cemetery. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
