MEMORIAL SERVICE HELD IN LANARK
Memorial services were held in Lanark July 15 for Pfc. Garth R Beck, who died on Okinawa May 20. Serviced convened Sunday evening with Bishop Archie Parker presiding; opening song "In My Father's House Are Many Mansions" by Max Haddock, accompanist, Miss Jane Shepherd; prayer, First Counselor Warren Passey; duet, "The Vacant Chair" by Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Transtrum, accompanist, Miss Olga Allred, cousins of Pfc. Beck; speaker, Bishop Clarence Wright; solo, "My Buddy" by Max Haddock; speaker, Bishop Archie Parker; duet, "God Understands" Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Transtrum; prayer Bishop E D Hymas.
