CITY TO START GARBAGE COLLECTION ROUTE
Mayor F M Williams announced at the recent meeting of the Chamber of Commerce that plans are underway for the establishment of a regular weekly garbage collection route for Montpelier.
Mr. Williams stated that the week of May 13th
to 18th will be set aside by proclamation for the people of the city to have all
ashes, cans and other debris that has accumulated during the winter months,
hauled away and all yards and lots cleaned up sick and span, after which each
resident will be requested to purchase a garbage can and placed where it can be
picked up and emptied once or twice a week.
