Representatives of the Afton Chamber of Commerce, Les Barrus,
president; R G Robison, vice-president and William Frome director, conferred
Friday with Frank Sorgatz, chairman of the local chamber's road committee,
secretary Rulon Bartschi, and vice president A E Carleton, relative the
formulation of plans for securing improvement and oiling the highway between
Afton and Montpelier.
The visiting officials especially urged that the Idaho link between Geneva and the mouth of Salt Canyon receive attention. They were also desirous of cooperating with the Montpelier chamber in attaining a re designation of the Grand Canyon Yellowstone Park highway.
