PIONEER
Tuesday afternoon January 15, 1918, the sisters of the Relief
Society of the Fish Haven ward gave Mrs. Frances Stock a pleasant surprise. The
occasion being her 81st birthday. The afternoon was spent very pleasantly in a
short program, singing, etc. Sister Stock was asked to related her experience in
the early days of the her conversion to the church.
She told of many hardships experienced in walking across the plains and of being left a widow one week after entering Salt Lake, but thru all her trials she had never lost faith and was glad she was this far on her journey in life. She encouraged all by her testimony and after a dainty lunch, she was presented all present with written tokens and a remembrance of this momentous occasion. All joined in in wishing her many more happy birthdays in the future.
