SUDDEN DEATH OF FLOYD P OLIVER
Floyd Parker Oliver Sr. 74, of American Fork, Utah, a former resident of Montpelier, died Sunday at his residence following a stroke. Mr. Oliver was born on August 4, 1884 in Kewanee Illinois, to Elmer W and Elva Jane Oliver. He married Winifred Crawford on March 15, 1911 in Lincoln Nebraska, and they lived in Montpelier from 1912 to 1946. He was a retired conductor of the Union Pacific railroad, a member of the Methodist Church and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
He is survived by his widow, five daughters and two sons, Mrs. Lee (Winifred) Shepherd of Chula Vista California; Floyd P Oliver Jr. of American Fork; Mrs. Marvin H (Ruth) Teuscher of American Fork; Eugene Oliver of Orem Utah; Mrs. J M (An Elva) Phelps of Henderson Nevada; Mrs. D K (Dorene) Smith of Pleasant Grove Utah, and Mrs. Jay (Barbara) Larsen of American Fork; 20 grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services were held in American Fork with burial in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Attending the funeral from Montpelier were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Larsen.
