UNTIMELY DEATH

On Tuesday last, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lewis were called upon to mourn the untimely death of their infant daughter, Flora. The little one had been ill for seven weeks with whooping cough and kidney trouble and during the past few days her condition had been serious.

On Monday it was apparent that she was dangerously ill and the end came at 5 am the next morning. All that medical could do was done but without avail. The little girl was aged nearly two years and was the youngest child. A fact that makes her death double distressing is that she was the only daughter in the family of five sons. The earned sympathy of a wide circle of relatives and friends goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis in their great bereavement.

The funeral service was held in the Second War meeting house yesterday at 10 am. Bishop Robert Price presided and the opening prayer was offered by Elder Robert Wallentine. The speakers were President W L Rich, Elder Walter Hoge and Bishop Price all of whom spoke words of consolation to the parents and expressed deep sympathy that is felt for them. The closing prayer was offered by Elder James S Poulson.
