Elzo (Ezra) Johnson of Ovid fell 100 feet to the ground Tuesday when the branch of a tree he was standing on broke.  The accident occurred in Minnig's Canyon out of Nounan where Mr. Johnson was getting Christmas trees.

Although X-rays failed to disclose any fractures, Mr. Johnson is badly bruised and shaken but is reported to be recovering in the Montpelier hospital.
