Evelyn Van Noy Rosenbaum
Evelyn Van Noy was born 4 June 1869 in Richmond, Utah, to William
T Van Noy and Agnes Burrell. She was married to Morris Rosenbaum 25 July 1887,
who was born 30 July 1867 in Brigham City Utah, to Morris David Rosenbaum and
Alice Breakell. By the 1900 census they were living in Ovid. She had 8 children
but three of them had died and are buried in the Ovid Cemetery. She was working
as a teacher in the Ovid school along side Elizabeth Sorenson. Morris was
operating a general store in Ovid.
In 1900 the same children listed with Elizabeth Sorenson were the ones she was teaching. By the 1910 census they had moved to Oregon. Evelyn died 28 Apr 1965 in Santa Monica California.

Without a petition, without any kick and on the dead cold quiet, Morris Rosenbaum has been relieved of the duties of postmaster at Ovid and Mrs. John Sorenson appointed in his stead. The queer part of it all is that both are democrats. Nobody had any kick on Morris' conduct as postmaster and as he runs the only store in the placer, the office was convenient to all. The people over there do not take kindly to such dark methods and there is a vigorous protest against any change
