PIONEER RESIDENT BURIED IN PARIS
Eva Hoff Dunn, 82, long time Bear Lake resident, died January 6 in Salt Lake City. She was born November 25, 1872 at Pleasant Grove Utah, the daughter of John and Magdalina Hoff. When a small girl she accompanied her parents to Bear Lake living first at Paris and later at Georgetown. She and James Dunn were married October 27, 1892 in the LDS Temple at Logan. The couple moved to Paris in 1914 where they made their home and raised their family. Mr. Dunn died July 9, 1944. Mrs. Dunn lived with her children the past four years.
Surviving are these daughters and sons; L H (Nina) Pierson, Mrs. W L (Viola) Tueller, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ned J (Lillis) Clayton of Magnus Utah; Mrs. W J (Dora) Brown of san Lorenzo, California; Mrs. Sam (Thelma) Wilkes of St Charles; Mrs. Max (Mirl) Haddock of Montpelier; J Weldon Dunn of Pegram and J Rulon Dunn of Preston. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a sister Mrs. N N Hayes of Oreville, California.
Services were held at 1 pm Monday in the Paris First Ward Chapel with Bishop Morris B Athay conducting. the opening song "Sister Thou Was't Mild and Lovely" was by a trio, Mrs. Eugene Stucki, Mrs. Grant Rich and Mrs. Willard Hansen; invocation President E W Stucki; vocal duet "Homing" Mrs. Reed Lowe and Max Haddock; remarks Bishop Athay; speaker Bishop Royal D Clark; vocal solo "In My Fathers House Are Many Mansions" Mrs. Lowe; speaker Henry Humpherys; vocal trio "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth" Phillip Hulme, Eugene J Grimes and Mr. Haddock; benediction Mrs. M H Collings.
Interment was in the Paris cemetery and the
grave was dedicated by Walter E Clark. Pall bearers were Blaine Dunn,
Keith Floyd, Paul Wilkes, Thomas Nielsen, Jesse Scheidegger and Eugene Stucki.
The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
