Emmett Michael Corrigan of
Meridian, Idaho died on March 11, 2011 near his home in Meridian. Born on
August 30, 1980, he was the son of Radeane Blackwell and Mike Corrigan, and
later he was fortunate to have Denise Corrigan and Jim Blackwell as
stepparents. Emmett married Ashlee Harmon on March 6, 2004 in the Mount Timpanogos,
Utah LDS Temple, and they were blessed with 5 beautiful children, Bostyn and
Bailey twin girls (6), Teage (4), Kaleeya (20 months), and Tytus (8 weeks).
A viewing will be held at Summers Funeral Home, 3629 E. Ustick
Rd. in Meridian from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, March 16. Funeral Services will be
at the LDS Church on Meridian Rd. and Ustick at 11:00 am on Thursday, March
17. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 17, in Montpelier, Idaho,
at 2:00 pm. (Burial was in the Ovid Cemetery)
Emmett graduated from Centennial High School in the Boise area
and later received his B.S. from Utah State University. A hard working and
ambitious young man, he completed his Juris Doctorate in Law from Gonzaga
University in Spokane, Washington. He later joined a firm in downtown Boise
and specialized in bankruptcy and criminal defense law. Who could have more
friends? He loved helping people and was generous to everyone he met. Full of
energy and adventure Emmett loved skiing, all outdoor sports and grilling good
food. He played football at Centennial High School and Ricks College, and
would have played forever if he could.
Emmett leaves a space in hundreds of lives that no one else
could ever fill.
