MATRON DIES WHILE IN MISSOURI
 

Emma Dieterle McKee,55, wife of Fred R McKee, died Saturday evening of a heart ailment at Kirksville, Missouri.  Mr. and Mrs. McKee had been called to Macon, Missouri on January 12 due to the death of Edward McKee, a brother of Fred and James McKee.  Mrs. McKee, who has been in poor health the past two years became ill at Macon and was taken to Kirksville hospital for treatment on January 16.

Mrs. McKee was associated with her husband in the restaurant and fountain business for a number of years.  Prior to moving to Montpelier in 1936 the family lived in Missouri for several years.  Mrs. McKee was active in a number of organizations before her illness. She was a member of the Community Church.  The daughter of Frederick and Suzanna Glore Dieterle, she was born November 21, 1899 at Rexburg Idaho.  He and Mr. McKee were married in 1920.  She was preceded in death by a son, Harold McKee.

Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Colin (Maxine) Bury of Salt Lake City; and two grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Bury.  Also surviving are three sisters Mrs. Anna Peck of Cary Idaho, Mrs. Mary Bybee of St Anthony, Mrs. Clara Lund of Salt Lake City; and three brothers, Frederick Dieterle of Oregon, Joseph Dieterle of Cary and Louis Dieterle of Dillon Montana.

Services were held at 2 pm Wednesday in the Community Church with Rev W Scott Bowman officiating. Two vocal solos "I Believe" and "In The Garden" were by Mrs. Waldo Andersen, with Russell Crockett as accompanist.  Mr. Crockett played the prelude and postlude.  Burial was in the Montpelier cemetery.  The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
