Emerson School Fire

The News Examiner, Thursday, 10 September 1992

The Emerson School in Paris burned during the early hours Friday, leaving only the brick walls standing.  The cause of the fire is being investigated by state fire marshals.

The fire started at the rear of the building and spread very quickly to engulf the entire structure.  The building had been deeded to the City of Paris by the Bear Lake School District, the paper work having been completed only last May.
