ELMER R SMITH DIES IN POCATELLO
Elmer R Smith, 39, former Montpelier resident, died at a Pocatello hospital following a three year illness. He was born November 21, 1916 at Montpelier, a son of the late Harry L Smith and Clara Beinz Smith. For 24 years he lived at Montpelier and was married to Bernice Rasmussen, June 8, 1940 at Montpelier. Mr. and Mrs. Smith lived for a short while at Aberdeen and Idaho Falls and at Pocatello for 11 years where Mr. Smith managed the Enterprise Market. His illness caused retirement three years ago.
Mr. Smith was a member of the LDS Church and the BPO Elks. Surviving are his
widow, his mother, Mrs. Clara Smith of Montpelier; one son Larry Elmer
Pocatello; three brothers Wilbur E Pinedale, Wyoming, Melvin C Montpelier, and
Lt. Col Leslie A US Air Force, stationed in Maryland and one sister Mrs. Raymond
W (LaVerel) Christensen of Malad. Services will be held Friday at Pocatello.
