DEATH DUE TO HEART ATTACK
Elmer Warren Buhler, 51, died June 27 of a heart attack at Lava Hot Springs. The son of Christian and Elizabeth Bartschi Buhler, he was born January 27, 1906 at Bern. Mr. Buhler operated a farm at Bern and was an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad. He was married to Helen Latey Bowen May 26, 1932 at Preston. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple at Logan, June 10, 1947. To this union was born one son Gary Warren Buhler.
Besides his widow and son, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Betty) Stalder of Bogotá Columbia and Mrs. Warren (Donna) Wright of Montpelier; one brother Walter Buhler of Montpelier; and three sisters Mrs. Abraham (Elizabeth) Alleman of Montpelier, Mrs. Sarah Anderson of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Rose Taylor of Oakland, California; and also five grandchildren.
Mr. Buhler was an elder and active worker in the LDS church. Services were held at 1 pm Monday in the Bern LDS Chapel. The opening song "Oh My Father" was by a trio comprised of Mrs. Dean Kunz, Mrs. Paul Kunz and Mrs. Clair Kunz accompanied by Mrs. Earl Johnson; invocation LeGrande Bartschi; vocal solo "Going Home" Mrs. Waldo Anderson accompanied by Russell Crockett; speaker Conover Wright; vocal solo "When Day Is Done" Mrs. Eugene W Wilcox accompanied by Mrs. Lester Armatage; speaker President Lewis Munk; song "Abide With Me, Tis Eventide" trio; benediction George Kunz.
Interment was in the Bern cemetery and the
grave was dedicated by Walter Buhler. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge
of arrangements.
