NEW PLAYHOUSE NEARING COMPLETION
Work on Montpelier's new opera house is going right along and despite the cold weather, the contractors are hopeful that they will have it completed by the latter part of next month.
The Montpelier Dramatic Company will open the new play house with "The Avengers" an interesting comedy drama in four acts. The plot of the play is laid in the South during the old "carpet bag days" and is strong both from comedy and dramatic points.
There are 10 characters in the play and the selections for the various roles have been made with the view of giving each one the part which he or she is particularly adapted. the best specialties ever produced by home talent will be given between acts.
As soon as the holiday rush is over the company will get down to earnest work on the play and they promise to give Montpelier theatre goers a strictly first class production of this pretty southern play.
