Letter from Pfc. Don O Tueller;
Dear Keith, This will only be a brief note to let you know I have changed my
address again. I am now at a basic training center in North Carolina, awaiting
shipment to an Aviation Cadet pre-flight school at one of the many colleges
somewhere in the East.
I guess they figure that what training I received in the Military Police as no
good as they are teaching me everything all over again. Even down to teaching us
how to march. Most of us are previous service men with many several years in the
Army, and many stripes on their sleeves.
In less than a month I should be on my way to becoming a flier in the Army Air
Corps, provided I can pass the physical and mental requirements. We only have
two more tests to take but they will be the most difficult. I will be glad to
get started on my course of study as it is rather hard for me to accustom
himself to just marking time.
Thanks again for sending me the Post. I read every
word of it each week. It is just like a letter from home and you know what that
is to a soldier. I remain your friend, Don Q Tueller
