FINAL REST

Again we are compelled to chronicle the death and burial of one of our honored citizens, David R Morgan of Liberty. For the past eighteen months Mr. Morgan has been suffering from some peculiar disease unknown to the learned doctors of today, but did not give up until about two weeks ago, when he became too weak to move about any, and lay down to await his final summons.

He was born in Liberty in September 1867 and leaves a wife and eight children, six girls and two boys, who loved him dearly, and while the parting was indeed sad, they have the consolation of knowing he left them a comfortable home and that he can now do for them what he could not accomplish by remaining here.

The funeral services which were largely attended, were held in Liberty Sunday afternoon. James E Hall of Springville, Utah, Samuel Mathews, Bishop E N Austin, and President Joseph R Shepherd all spoke words of consolation and encouragement to the family and relatives of the deceased.
