PASSES AWAY
David King, a well known resident of Liberty, died at his home
there on Sunday of old age and general debility, aged 88 years. He was born in
England. He crossed the plains in 1885. He was therefore one of the earliest
pioneers and did much to make this region habitable. He was a highly esteemed
citizen and a steadfast Latter day Saint.
The funeral was held in Liberty meeting house on Wednesday. Bishop Austin and Elder Samuel Mathews spoke. He leaves a wife and several grown children.
