DEATH OF FORMER LIBERTY RESIDENT

Clem Anders Poulsen, 80, former Liberty resident, died Sunday at the family home in Smithfield Utah, after a long illness.  He was born December 4, 1878 in Liberty, the son of James and Mary Humphreys Poulsen.  He married Martha Nilson on November 2, 1919 in the Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Poulsen farmed in Liberty before moving to Smithfield 21 years ago.  He served in the Liberty ward bishopric for 19 years and was active in other church offices.

He is survived by his widow and the following sons and daughters; Rex E and Perth Poulsen, both of Weston; Keith C Poulsen of Smithfield; Mrs. Zora Peterson of Montpelier; Ms. Afton Boehme of Hooper Utah; Mrs. Eulala Peterson, Mrs. Eula Larsen and Mrs. Naomi Jensen, all of Ogden; 41 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and six brothers.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Smithfield Third ward LDS chapel and burial was in the Smithfield cemetery.
