RITES HELD IN NEW WARD CHAPEL
Funeral services for the late Chris Bentsen were held Saturday at 1 pm in the Montpelier Third and Fifth ward chapel, conducted by Bishop Doyle Anthony of the Fourth Ward. Prayer at the mortuary was offered by Dean Hensen.
The opening song "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose" was by Max Haddock; invocation Louis Kunz; obituary and remarks Bishop Anthony; song "Hold Thou My Hand" Mr. Haddock and Mrs. Reed Lowe; speaker Bishop Alvin Tueller; song "A Perfect Day" Mrs. Waldo Anderson; speaker President Reed Dayton; song "Oh Dry Those Tears" Mrs. Lowe; benediction Lynn Nate. Accompanists were Mrs. Lester Armatage and Mrs. H O Petereit and the prelude and postlude were played by Mrs. Armatage.
Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery where
the grave was dedicated by Cecil Dunn. Honorary pall bearers were J E
Homer, A R Hansen, Harry Severn, Edgar Robinson, E G Edwards and George
Nussbaum. The active pall beareres included Elwood Sparks, Archie Homer,
Donovan Stephens, Max Hanson, Clifford Jensen and LaGrande Arnell. Matthew
Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
