RITES ARE HELD IN LIBERTY WARD
Charles Earl Derricott, 55, died suddenly at his residence in Yakima, Washington July 3. Deceased was born May 13, 1903 in Liberty, the son of Charles and Laverna Hymas Derricott. He lived in Liberty until 1941 and will be remembered by his many friends as "White" Derricott. He was a member of the LDS Church and had been active in Government work since 1941.
Survivors included his widow, Margaret Roche Derricott, three stepsons; four sisters, Mrs. Ves (Eva) Lauridsen and Ruth Derricott of Montpelier, Mrs. Willis (Jean) Johnson of Shelley and Mrs. Frank (Almeda) Young of Pocatello; and seven brothers, Roll Derricott, Montpelier, Fern Derricott, Liberty, Wilford Derricott, Twin Falls, Willard Leroy Derricott, OGden, Lamont Derricott, Salt Lake City, LuDean Derricott, Petaluma California and Grant Derricott of Penn Grove California.
Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday in the Liberty Ward Chapel with Bishop Marvin Hymas conducting. The prayer at home was offered by Farrell Shepherd and Bishop Hymas gave the obituary. Following was the invocation by President William K Matthews; vocal solo "Oh My Father" Max Haddock accompanied by Mrs. Lester Armatage; speaker Lyman Hymas; vocal duet "Beyond the Sunset" Mr. Haddock and Mrs. Reed Lowe; speaker Harold Pugmire; vocal solo "Perfect Day" Mrs. Lowe; benediction Irl Nye.
Interment was in the Liberty cemetery and the
grave was dedicated by Max Lauridsen. Pallbearers were J R Roy, Wilford, Grant
Lamont and Fern Derricott. The Matthews Mortuary was in charge of
arrangements.
