FUNERAL SERVICES HELD IN BENNINGTON
Catherine Weaver Holmes Wright, 86, died December 10 from causes incident to age. The daughter of Gilbert and Sarah Conover Weaver, she was born January 24, 1873 at Millville, Utah and had lived nearly all her life at Bennington and most recently at Montpelier. She was a member of the LDS Church.
She and Morris Holmes were married September 4, 1889. Mr. Holmes died February 7, 1907. She married Silas Wright Sr. September 12, 1912 and he died January 18, 1926. She was also preceded in death by four children, Myrtle Holmes Jensen, Zerelda Holmes, Oliver Holmes and Golden Holmes.
Surviving are three children Mrs. Silas W (Priscilla) Gliem of Glendale, California; Vernon Holmes of Idaho Falls and Weston Wright of Montpelier; 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Services were held at 1pm Monday in the Bennington LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Wayne George conducting. The invocation was offered by Conover Wright; obituary and remarks, Bishop George; song "Rock of Ages" choir; speaker President George E Wright of Ogden; song "Prayer Perfect" Bern Trio; speaker President Lewis Munk; song "One Fleeting Hour" Bern Trio; benediction Bishop James A A Crane. The prayer at the mortuary was offered by William Holmes of Salt Lake City.
Interment was in the Montpelier cemetery and
the grave was dedicated by Roy Robison. Matthews Mortuary was in charge of
arrangements.
