Boyd George McMurray
Boyd George McMurray, nearing his 21st birthday was instantly killed on February 13, 1971 when the car in which he was alone driving from Montpelier to his home in Liberty went out of control on US Highway 89 striking the left abutment of the concrete bridge spanning Ovid Creek.
Boyd was born February 22, 1950 in Montpelier, the son of George Warren and Esther Skinner McMurray. He attended Emerson School in Paris and graduated from Bear Lake High School with the class of 1968. For the past 18 months he was employed by Clifford Skinner in transporting milk to Smithfield, Utah. He was a priest in the LDS Church.
Besides his parents he is survived by four brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held at the Liberty Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery.
