PARIS WOMAN DIES MONDAY
Mrs. Blanche Bateman Sleight, 47, wife of Karl Sleigh, died Monday evening at her home in Paris following an extended illness. The daughter of William H and Vesta Thompson Bateman, she was born April 26, 1909 in Bloomington. She and Mr. Sleight were married October 23, 1928 in Paris. She was a member of the LDS Church and until taken ill was active in all organizations.
Besides her husband and parents, who now reside at Brigham City, she is survived by two sons, George W Sleight of Murray, Utah Clyde Sleight of Salt Lake City, now with the US Army Fort Eustis, Virginia; one daughter Elaine Sleight of Paris; two brothers and three sisters, Grant Bateman of Bloomington, Russell T Bateman of Salt Lake, Mrs. Carl (Ruby) Barber of Syracuse, Utah, Mrs. Hugh (Jenny) Rich of Paris and Mrs. Frank (Betty) Talbot of Brigham City; and two grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may call at the home in Paris Friday and Saturday prior to
funeral services set for 1 pm Saturday in the Paris First Ward Chapel. The
Matthews Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
