Bishop Austin
The Montpelier Examiner, February 4, 1910
The timely appearance of Bishop Austin at the Liberty meeting house last
Sunday afternoon about one o'clock saved that elegant new structure from being
destroyed by fire.
When he entered the building he found the floor was just starting to burn around the stove pike, which leads from the basement to the first floor. The blaze was extinguished easily and the damage done to the building was nominal.
